About BOTOX® and Other Fillers and injectables:
BOTOX® and other fillers and injectables are skin rejuvenation cosmetic procedures designed to reduce the signs of aging, offered by our expert Technicians at Fresh Start MedSpa.
The process of aging often leaves its mark on our faces. Sun exposure, laughing, worrying and even smiling can lightly damage the tissues that make up our faces. Our Technicians help reverse the signs of aging through the use of injectables, such as:
- JUVÉDERM® , JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® and JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS
Each of these injectables work differently, but they all achieve the same goal – reduce the signs of aging by diminishing frown lines, forehead creases and other facial lines.
How do skin injectables work?
Injectable treatments involve a non-surgical procedure lasting for only a few minutes. During which, tiny amounts of diluted filler are injected into the skin by an ultra fine needle that minimizes discomfort. No anesthesia is necessary.
BOTOX® is a purified protein injection that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow’s feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck. These lines appear over time with everyday muscle activity of the face. Botox injections soften and relax wrinkles by preventing facial muscles from contracting.
The JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers adds volume to a different area of the face to lift cheeks, smooth parentheses lines, or plump the lips.
JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over 21.
JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS is used to correct more severe facial wrinkles, deep nasolabial folds (the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth), and marionette lines (the lines from the corners of your mouth down toward your jawline) and to fill in depressed areas in the cheeks. It may also be used in a “liquid face lift” procedure to sculpt and reshape facial contours or as a hand rejuvenation treatment.
Are injectables safe?
Although there are some risks that are associated with treatment, injectable treatments are safe for most people.
